A Louisiana based chemical manufacturer recently had a successful startup of a new MUNSON MACHINERY rotary batch blender. The success of the startup is notable since 99.8% of the total batch weight (over 3,000 lbs) was dry ingredients and the remaining .2% was the active ingredient added to the dry materials via a stationary liquid spray bar in the interior of the blender.  

The rotary batch blender is the only blender that could successfully disperse and blend the active liquid ingredient to the dry materials. There were many tests done prior to purchase at MUNSON's test lab  with "placebo" active ingredients to prove that the dispersion would be successful. The fast blend time, gentle handling, and excellent blending performance were critical in achieving the results required to meet this customer's expectations.  

In addition to the blender, TEC ENGINEERING also supplied feed and discharge conveyors from AUTOMATED FLEXIBLE CONVEYOR for handling raw materials and finished product. The in-feed conveyor featured a filtered bag dump station for handling bags of the major dry ingredients, with no dust exposure to the operators.
