| I went into my local Milk Bar to buy a chocolate bar. I paid 50 cents for the bar, and to my delight and astonishment, got back four times the change to which I was entitled. I noted that this was equivalent to twice the amount I had given the shop keeper. What was my total profit? |  |

| My profit was $1.50. I gave the shop keeper $1.00 and got back $2.00 in change. My profit so far is $1.00. But, I also got a chocolate bar valued at 50 cents, so my total profit is $1.50 |
